Today I set myself a goal.
That goal was to finally solve the Campaign bug issue.
I had no success.
If anything I'm probably worse off than I was.
I have ruled out any campaign code I have done as well as the slightly modified version of the Moria map.
Which pretty much means that the issue is going to be around for a while.
But I'll keep trying.

you should ask The Elven Alliance modders how they solved that bug

Did it fall the same way as it does in mine?

This bug is a toughy there are so many possibilities for causes.
I'm even thinking it could possibly be caused by the expanded spell list.

Unfortunately the modder behind TEA Celeglin is long gone.

Busy busy busy lately.
Today I was supposed to move house but decided to stay for a bit longer so I have avoided some delays.
But i'm still taking my weeks to get things done.

The big reason for the delay was for the new DG stuff and I have some new concepts and a few changes to make to the faction.
The new plans look good.

Over the last week or so I've been working on Dale,Mirkwood,Dol Guldur,Rhun and Harad.
I've redone the leadership rings to look better, remade the Mirkwood Hall and Dale Barracks worked some more on the Dale Bowmen and Warriors, come up with a logo design for Dale, reskinned the Mumakil and coded in a whole lot of new FX for spells.

At the moment I'm making some plans for Dale's work with new abilities for Radagast and Radsvirr and fixing some issues.
Sometime in the next couple days I'll start modelling the new DG stuff and finish the Mirkwood Refuge.

I don't have a new release date for the beta release yet,I usually release betas on friends birthdays so I just have to pick a friend :xcahik_:

At least it sounds better than:

"Things are going well except some good news soon".

Well, typo or not ... good luck, then. :)

My day off work so I've been able to a little bit of modding (sorry Rob nothing on TEA yet) today I did some work on Lorien.
I'm going to implement my planned changes for Lorien and hopefully the beta won't be far off.

The news mentioned above was that Isengard is complete.
Unfortunately due to my work schedule I'm unable to make that claim :(
However it is at 99% with only a couple minor things to due.
These include finishing some new random Warg Rider models, fixing a couple bugs and missing labels and some changes to the new powers.
Even though it's not complete 99% is still something to celebrate and by beta 0.4 it will be finished.
For beta 0.4 I expect to finish not only Isengard but Mordor,Rohan,Gondor,Rivendell and Lorien.
All of these factions have only a little more work to go.
After which I can put the attention on finishing up Dale,Erebor,Eriador,Harad,Deep and Rhun,
with Mirkwood and Arnor to follow at a later date.

So things are going well and if things hold out I may finish the main portion of the mod by year's end.

So get behind me and support me the more active the community here the harder I'll work :p

As you guys may have noticed I've been pretty quiet here, this is due mostly to my new job which takes up a big chunk of my time.
I try and mod when I can so things are moving slowly.
I'm having monitor problems at the moment so it makes it very difficult to do graphic based stuff but I am doing some coding.
At the moment I am planning a little something for beta 0.4.

I am considering removing Rhun from the beta faction list for the time being and giving you guys Harad instead because Rhun is undergoing some changes.
This depends on how much I can get done.
I'll keep you guys posted on what I decide.

30-1-11 First Dev Diary of the year.

It's been a long time since I've updated this topic since work has been slow and secret.

As you guys have probably noticed there has been a lot of cool stuff added in the last couple months as I'm constantly working on new features.
I've also been doing little things like improving FX,touching up on skins and models.
Adding new props and stuff.
The last week or so I've spent a fair bit of time on the Catapult's projectile and FX (too much time really) I want it to look awesome and it's starting to shape up nicely.
A major improvement over the old red ball with the decal on the ground.
There is now embers and a smoke trail, the decal is gone and soon I've be remodelling the projectile to look like a rock instead of a red ball.
I've been toying with the idea of making random model versions for the Trebuchet and Catapult.

Erebor has had a bit of work done as well with new skins and the Onager now firing a volley of small stones which can also be upgraded with fire stones,it looks really cool and is a great way of taking out a horde.

Work has been going into Rhun as well,I'm trying to add to the faction to make them less like a generic Rhun faction with Red and Gold everything.
More into a believable and visually interesting faction with different tribes making up the Armies.

The big work today has gone on working out Morgul.
I was even considering axing the faction and giving the main stuff to Mordor.
Instead I begun working on a new tech tree implementing some ideas I had previously abandoned namely Carn Dum.
For a while I was considering a Carn Dum faction but it was dropped because of the work load needed.
It's pretty cool to still be able to use small parts of it inside the Morgul faction.

Morgul now has a shiny new tech tree that has more variety, depth and strengths.
With the whole faction being more focused on the death, sorcery theme while still being about Orcs.

I will be finishing this mod this year(at least initial final version) and I want to release this beta next month sometime.
I'm starting to get worried about whether I'll finish this beta in time with so much to do.
So I'm going to be working harder than ever and I'll be trying to get DIGI back to work and hopefully a new shiny beta will be up next month.
