I've recently seen someone creating a tyrannid campaign mod on the relicnews forums... im just wondering how possible it is do do the same with this. I am aware of scaring issues, but surely an elite team like you could fix it :p. Also, alot of conversation and videos wouldnt have to be changed, considering how the fc would probably be acceptable as your commander for DA aswell (although you'de change his title to something like Chapter Master).
I accept it if you cant handle this... but just letting you know how epic it would be to have an honour gaurd ravenwing if you did :) (wink wink nudge nudge)

hehe.. DA team is not up to writing/coding/designing map objects for a campaign. We're barely hanging on to the finishing the entire project. :p

Its good that such topic is created already. Usually, i do not create topics until getting workable ingame results.
But for this issue...

I am studied achievements of community in making campaigns profile. Studying a custom Metamap Campaign by Etherdragn.
So here is a summary of what we need and that we has have:

Storyline:
-Public available Storm of Vengeance campaign for Dark Angels
-This is about 10 scenarios, DA vs Orks. + some IG maybe
-Most of them - in surviving style

Overall campaign description in game point of view:
-There are only two races on metamap
-The only playable race selectable - Dark Angels (or vanilla Space marines. Depends from DA team ). It is for simplifying scripting/coding and reduce workload
-Planned: All maps scar-scripted. Ork commander movements on metamap(MM) is disabled. Campaign is almost linear: All maps linked one to one. Last map is Ork "stronghold".

-Metamap hot-point layout editing (gfx=swf=flash) is possible.
-Metamap editing itself (3d max -> OE -> game) is possible.

Whats help needed:
-Retexturing metamap. My texturing skill is ugly.
-Find suitable DA-themed backgrounds for screens.
-I do not plan to make maps from scratch, only scar coding do. I planned to take maps from community, so everybody can recommend/donate/suggest maps for campaign.
-Also suggest additional scenarios ideas for maps

What I can do by myself in any way:
-Narration scripting, Narration sound recording
-Recording "video" for intro/outro (like this )
-Optional: Converting SM Force commanders to DA company master. For wargear selection screen and for metamap screen

Just for confirmation, here is an ingame texture template for metamap. For now it is squared and transparent for layout debugging purposes.

Also glad to tell you, that I successfully modify "raceselection" screen and now Spacemarine race is automatically selected for the Campaign...

New head for Commander model (Belial) is sculpted. Inherited from previous head and texture. Texture is WIP, but suspect that I do not able to do anything better

Trying to bring some planetstrike assets to DoW
Parts of GW "Aegis Defense Line" for Imperial Defense of Koth Ridge. Early WiP. Undestructable. Require rescaling and further texturing.
