I am pleased to say with that version uploaded I finally have a set timeline for the next release...
I will give the testers 1 week with this version while I work on issues they identify. Afterward I will upload another copy with those changes plus whatever else I can do in 1 week... ...I will upload another test copy. Roughly 3-7 days after that I will upload a public.
BEFORE the end of the month I will have the public release. Not much other than catching fire will keep it from happening because it's already in a very playable state, I just want to wrap up a few minor details first.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

You do realize Murphy likes showing up when people make statements like that? Expect something to happen to set back development by a fair amount. Not much other than catching fire will keep it from happening because it's already in a very playable state, I just want to wrap up a few minor details first.

Well, in the scale of things I have to worry about here catching fire is petty. When tempting Murphy always set your goals low. I dare not even mention the things I REALLY worry about stopping me from working.
Plus while you give mention to about when you expect to release you are not making the mistake of other mods by locking yourself into a specific time frame.

I'm pleased to say at the moment I'm running well ahead of my original plan. This doesn't mean a sooner release, but rather more small tweeks before it.
Now that just sounds like it is asking for trouble.
Now to find a good 9 player map to throw all the AI on insane difficulty to watch the fireworks when this comes out.

Well, that just means Murphy will summon an extremely large and unusually dangerous fire then.Well, in the scale of things I have to worry about here catching fire is petty. Murphy can cast Meteor!?!
The average human is only 1-2 HD, and averaging 6-8 HP. Burning Hands or Firebrand are more than enough to give a very bad day.

everybody here is a little vid showing the leatest internal version of Cyber General. The vid doesn't have usual quality due to some problems with it's creation but it still should be fun to watch.
Best head to the Youtubepage and watch in HD.
