Something buggy with the text-editor here now, I'll just upload the videos here.
The first one is the one interesting but the second one is referenced in the first one so you might want to see that first

All in all i find his definition of religion very precise. it's something we've designed throughout the ages and it should be used for good.

An acceptable attitude in my opinion. Although as mentioned in the rebuttal, he has a few lines in his book that should be ignored.

Rick Warren? What a load... I'm just gonna' listen to the old guy.

That was good... Ohh... I could listen to old guy for hours... ... Fell flat on his beard with a few of his opening jokes, but never mind that. Good stuff. Makes you wonder why atoms became complex just to form religion. Positive and Negative is all they needed, but now they have more options.

Don't have any previous experience with this Rick Warren dude, but he seemed mellow enough in that 20 minute review of what he's done. I bet he can show other sides of himself as well, but in that presentation he didn't show off that many of them.

Religion is, whether we like it or not, a part of nature as much as human civilization is. It can be used for good, as a template of morality and a giver of meaning, but it can also be abused and inbred.

I read a very ignorant blog by Rick some time ago, and so don't want to listen to the voice behind the pixels...

I just watched The Fountain, so now I'm an expert ( :) )(). The world could of been created by Hugh Jackman floating in a bubble into a nebula with a tree behind him... that might be true. I see religion as an anthropologist, and religions are relics of time that have endured. But if Hugh Jackman created the world, then only religion is the key to the facts as only the faithful can believe the ridiculous. One may be right, so I remain open to any theory/ religion, as what isn't dis-proven is probable, even in improbability. Except Scientology... those boot licking canisters of chap-stick can go to Bulba for all I care.

its all so lame: either life is just nothing in the end: ash to ash: from ash we came, and unto ash we shall become, or we're under divine influence going to heaven after we die in which case it still don't matter, because in that case we're simple ultimately under God's control so what will be - will be therefore the only thing that i'm worried about is if it'll hurt when I die

Are you reciting Christian rites or asserting Ash's omnipotent supremacy?

Nah, I think he's talking sense.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Another fancy video

Eh, I've never really needed some God to make life worth living. That's just fear of death getting the better of you. Shit happens and then you die and all that, better make sure you have no regrets by then.

Richard Dawkins is a good speaker, so I'll just add this little thing just for the heck of it:

"I give you private information on corporations for free and I'm a villain. Mark Zuckerberg gives your private information to corporations for money and he's 'Man of the Year.'" - Assange
