Gen Kenobi,i saw pictures of your naval stuff,they are awesome.Guys,think seriously of uniting Contra and Evans,it could be mod of century,only thing that contra needs are naval bases.This could be Contra Evans mod.


Thanks, but i think that Creator has it's own plans for Contra's Naval Warfare. :p

I know. Problem is that the ships will have to get in range then, and if they get tomahawk range they are useless again ><

Will every force has Navy?? adding Navy, this will be a whole new debating here. How about add 6 th Level Rank, so Navy will be available at this ultimate Rank. Of course, the battle ships' fire range will cover the whole map. US and China will have the Navy, but GLA, what should they have???

Maybe my idea is pointless, because, i think the battle should be almost over before reaching 6 th Rank.

6TH rank is unprogrammable I think. Gla could have scouting boats, and have odd scavenged ships :good:

GLA could have:

-technicial boat (armed with machine gun to take out planes and helicopters), to defend base from aviation and for attacking chinooks, also to kill infantry near coast...light unit

-battle boat (armed with AT cannon, able to fight enemy ships, tanks and units near coast)...medium unit

-scud launcher (heavy ship armed with double barreled scud missiles, able to attack base structures and other units)....heavy unit...something like russians in RA2

Variants and special ability for each GLA general. Demo generals battle boat could leave mine on surface of water, to destroy enemy ships, assault generals could have aditional upgrade stingers, to support him against aviation. Toxin generals battle boat could have buyable ability to leave acid/toxin smoke which would move randomly from him, stealth generals could have ability to be temporaly stealth (last for 15 seconds) or he could be like stealth buggy, stealth while not moving or firing...

Ships are whole new era for Contra, i have tons of ideas for them...for usa, china and gla....

Ships are whole new era for Contra, i have tons of ideas for them...for usa, china and gla....

you are not the only one,i have lots of ship ideas too,in general it could be like this:
rank1:light and medium ships\transports
rank3:heavy ships\special transports
rank5:aritllery ships that have long range and wtfbbqpwn everything,but are fragile.

of course it depends on the faction,for example stealth general,some special stealth transport(with some special ability of course) will fit more then a heavy ship,or for inf.gen the troop crawler will get a amphibious upgrade at rank 3,toxin gen will get something like dreadnought from ra2(but scud missiles of course),cyber will have more amph units then others,and etc...

now that i think of it,my ideas aren't that original(mostly rip off from ra2)

Gen.Kenobi sent me the code and I tested it. My conclusion is: no, fleet is not possible. Ships still move on the land even with nanocore system.

I wonder, how did the "Reborn" mod did it? They have this (rather) overpowered Battleships(USA Rouge) and I OWNED Gen. Alexander(Challenge, Hard) with them since the her entire map is islands.

They did it the same glitchy way as in "Naval Wars".
