I was delving through the W3D.big for BFME1 when I came across a model.
RCMilitia_skn
I tried importing it into renx with various skeletons none of them matching.
Then I opened it up in wdump to find that is had it's own skeleton RCMilitia_skl.
It may have even had it's own animations but they are no longer there,neither is the skeleton.
It's textures are soldier_02.tga,weapons_01.tga and shield_01.tga none of these seem to exist either.

When EA was announcing the units for ROTWK they said that the Rohan Spearmen are back,I don't remember there ever being Rohan Spearmen in BFME vanilla perhaps this was it.

Well also did you guys know that Boromir is supposed to have an animation for walking when the last stand ability is activated? As well as some other attacking and dying animations...

Fun fact: If any of you have played TTT for GC, PS2, and if it was released for PC you will notice that when Aragorn or Isildur do their orc hewer it looks exactly like the Narsil attack by Isildur.

I think I found the Mumak anims for Legolas' Monster Slayer ability.

Mu_mumakls_skn it has it's own skeleton and 3 animations.
DIA,PREA and KILA I've been unable however to find the Legolas part.

I'm looking into working these animations back in,in my mod.

Just checked it out and you are right. But I dont think Lego has it (I checked all the folders that had a u in it like eu, ru, su, qu,mu, gu, au. Not the folder ui just having to do with units.)

Yeah kind of like saying this is what we played with and can do but you can't. Maybe the community could all try to make the animation and make it work.

But from what I've heard animating is really hard and time consuming. I doubt someone could make such anims like that, though it would be totally awesome if someone was able to.

When i have the time, i'm actually going to do this :thumbsupsmiley: I already have a mumakil bound and such so making an anim like that should not be too hard :sad:

On topic: I have noticed that in the cinematic units code, there is something called AragornSwordFight (if anyone like Rad has BFME1 and either played Amon Hen or seen all the battle tutorials you will know). It is when Aragorn is surrounded by Uruks/Orcs/Gobbies and he kills them all (its also in the CE bonus disk but it has a Created Hero doing it).

Also isnt there an anim (in game) for ROTWK in which Glorfindel starts swinging his sword around (like dancing with it or something again in the CE Edition bonus disk). RJ uses the anim, but I wanted to know if Glorffy ever did it in BFME2 or ROTWK.

I know about the Aragorn one, I'm pretty sure Isildur uses it in his attacking anims.

Nope, he uses an anim with SPCA at the end of it (check out my post above [well about the third post]). And I remember that the Balrog was supposed to grab a person and then make him go on fire (like Sauron did to Gil-Galad.)

I think the Balrog ability was the original Ignite spell.
The Aragorn animations aren't in there anymore.
I've given the Isildur attack to Aragorn in my mod I believe the Isildur one didn't have a cape,which I added in when I converted it.

I also surf EA's codes once in a while
and even use some of their Models as I cant model
Cinematics have quite a few

the IsengardOrcOverseer is one ..has all the required anims except one for STUNNED_FLAILING
the one when your hit and fly in to the air

I was always interested in the MURngWrath model .. but no anims to use
is there any way to use another units anims on this ?
maybe use another guys skeleton
