I know from personal experience deleting SVCHOST.exe can be a bad idea, but I didn't bother to automate it so it would do it every time it rebooted >.<

For the little time I use Windows (7 for gaming, XP in a VM to sync my iPhone), Microsoft Security Essentials is perfect. It's light, fast, not annoying the crap out of me and probably the least likely to break Windows.

For some reason that shite is on my Windows 7 machine. I have no idea how because I built and set it up myself. I've never willingly installed it, and have absolutely no reason to - yet the fucking thing pops up around TEN TIMES A DAY asking me to purchase and update it.
I can't find a way to get rid of it, either.
