I've finally got around to finishing this old Tesla Coil I've been making for... I dunno. Since college? It was even out in my garden for a year, so it's rusty on the inside. But I finally got my hands on a car battery that lights this thing up well. Problem is that it's out of control. I need about a few feet of solid steel on the end of this thing, so I decided that I'm gonna' make a giant sword and put it on the end of this. I liked the idea so much, I just had to show off my progress. That's my Coil and as you can see the bulky end is perfect for a sword. I wanted to take the picture of it hooked up to the car battery, but this thing made my TV screen turn green in a second, so I won't dare risk my laptop... yet.
I also thought about turning it into a compressed air cannon. Thouse things can be deadly, and with a car battery hooked up to it, would the charge follow the air it shoots? I wasn't sure, so I'm sticking with the sword for now. An air taser would be awesome though, if it's possible.
