But seriously... it's pretentious for these whiny goat bombers to think their religion and icon is so great, even those who don't give a crap can't say anything bad. Shows how weak of faith they are if their followers get insulted by non-believers so easily.

Episode 200 was the one that went too far and 201 is the result. 201 is being 'processed' at the moment, so it might not be up yet still. I found them more entertaining than most Southpark episodes anyway, so might as well see what the fuss is.

The issue is Sharia (Islamic Law):
According to Sharia it is forbidden to picture Mohamed in any way ... drawing, painting, statue or whatever ... and if you do (especially in a satirical way) the consequence is most likely death-penalty.
This has been the case for centuries ... in Islamic countries.
One could be deceived to believe, that Sharia should only apply to Muslims ... wrong, not anymore.
The controversy following the publishing of the Mohamed-cartoons (the Motoons) in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten was the first time, that the Islamic world (OIC and other international Islamic organizations) insisted that this command in Sharia should also be valid for non-Muslims.
Prior to that event, the Wahabi's of Saudiarabia did use huge amounts of petro-dollars in lobbying British parliamentarians, to get the "Racial and Religious Hatred Act" approved in the House of Commons. The outburst of emotions (burning of embassies etc., clearly orchestrated by the authorities in some cases) was used by the Wahabis and OIC to put the pressure on British politicians, and to get the Act approved.
There are numerous other examples of this pattern.
So, the episode referred to by Pasidon, is one a small part of this agenda:
- Any critique of Islam and it's prophet prohibited by law in non-Muslim countries.
- Muslims to be given special rights, by given legal authority to Sharia Courts.
- The implementation of Sharia Law as a guiding principle in all legislation, i.e. the commands of Sharia Law should also apply to non-Muslims.
For the Islamists, it's all about politics. Just that.

Muslims take their "no-picturing-the-prophet-or-allah" rules pretty serious, and the more aggressive muslims think their rules should apply to everyone. Islam is lagging behind in their philosophy where religion should control everything, while the secular world is more up-to-date and have split power into different more democratic divides.

Someday soon someone might demand, that this one be taken down:
The North Frieze on the Supreme Court building in Washington, DC features a bas-relief sculpture of Mohammed, among several other historical law-givers. He is in the center of this image holding a curved scimitar.

The reason radical Muslims don't allow to show Mohamed is because of penis envy.
Mohamed was hung.
That should do it
It should be noted that it's only really the radicals that do the death threats most Muslims would probably just get pissed off.
There is a cultural faux pas with aboriginals where they can't look at images of people (I think mostly Fellow Aboriginals) who have passed away.
On TV here there are advisories about it whenever there is any show regarding Aboriginals.

Pretty much the point of the episode was that you can show Jesus watching porn on the Internet or Buddha snorting coke, but you can't show Muhammad at all without ridiculous outcry.
He he... I found myself horribly amused at that. Christians and Buddhists don't care because they know it's just stupid TV. The goat bombers probably think South Park was filmed live as a reality TV show in Belgium.
