Thanks for the heads up and the good luck and i'll be honest, i have little idea what i'm doing besides making the models. It'll be lots of trial and error but i'm committed. I'll just look up some tuts on the site. And if someone could move this to showcase when i get enough work done i'd love that, opposed to making a new thread.Just to add: 3ds max 8 has a issue with .dds textures.

I'm still trying to work out a solution for 3ds max 8. Apparently there are a few scripts (that i have) that needs to be compilled in the 3ds Max 8 SDK, but i don't have it...

Well, I don't have any problems with using .dds textures on Max8, AFAIK, it's just that I can't export models with it.. then the model's just grey Thus I always use tga, and convert, only if bothered, at realease..I'm still trying to work out a solution for 3ds max 8. But yeah, dds are alot smaller
