Rather than sending this out to a select few people on MSN, I can just link them here instead, and give other people a chance to see it too!

This is basicly my D0 game as it currently stands, its a turn based battle simulator for the RPG in DS homebrew.

Current configuration shows it in its original environment, MS-DOS, However, the window layout has been changed to match the nintendo DS screens in text mode to make migrating it easier. I'd still like to do a few more things to it before i finally migrate it to the DS though.

Anyway, give it a try and tell me what you think

This page on my Wiki lists the races and their stats: http://www.destructi...tats#Race_Stats
The wiki is currently locked for editing by registered users only. Although anyone is free to sign up and edit things, i'd prefer it if they talked about things in the forums, and let me change it myself.
There is also a bug tracker, but i don't think the state of my game warrants using it yet, in any case its here: http://www.destructi...ty.com/tracker/

Is there any way you can make it compatible with 64 bits windows? I really can't run it here, with my Windows XP 64.

I have the same problem running it on windows 7 64bit. Currently the answer is no, but that won't be a problem in the end because you'll need to run it inside a nintendo DS emulator.
I sugest that if you have a 64bit version of windows, that you run it inside dosbox, its what i do.

I did at one point try and import it to MSVC++, but that proved a waste of time for text based, because just about every useful feature for command line layout has been completely removed. so... i eventually decided just to forget about trying to import it to MSVC untill i'm ready to start replacing text with graphics, and do the entire MS-DOS text to NDS graphics in 1 step. in the long run its suprisingly easier, plus i don't need to learn a bunch of crap i'll likely never use again, being windows command line programming. Actually, command line programming isn't that bad, its just that in windows it lacks even the basics, like moving the curser to a different position on screen.

Alternatively, there is putting it into a form, like a window, but the problem with that is again, i'd need to learn it, and once the thing was up and running, i'd remove it anyway to replace it with graphics on the DS.

its simply just easier to do it in Dos at this stage, because its what i know, and the Heart of the program can be imported directly, the only things that really need to change is the stuff that reads inputs, and because of the way i've done it, it can simply be done by remapping the arrow keys to the DS D pad, B to escape, and A to enter, Adding the touchpad can come later where there's graphics. then there's outputs to the screen, which is replacing text with graphics. as such i deliberately left them in their own CPP file, keeping the guts that doesn't need to be changed in the others.
