My fellow Britons, I have encountered the Test, and I'm not talking about cricket. This is the citizenship test for all prospective residents. Why don't you have a look and see how good a citizen you are? It only takes about five minutes. You need to get 75% to qualify for citizenship. I got 58%. Think you can beat that? Go ahead and try.

Anyway, the point is this? If even I, a conscientious and attention-paying long-time, life-time resident can't get the required score, is this test too fucking hard? Does anyone really need to know the shit it asks about? I would say not.

Heh 38%, if that was the real test I would be at an airport waiting to be shipped back home. Vortigern your right most of that stuff I can guarantee at least 50% of the UK population wouldn't know the answer.

It seems I failed with a 33%. Yet I just watched Gandhi less than 10 minutes ago though... I think I am ashamed of the 8 questions I did get right.

54%
Oh come on, some of those were merely testing your memory in remembering specific statistics.

33%. Oh dear.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Trust me, I'd let you win in a competition to test who's more British any day.

I don't understand the point of most of those questions though, its not as if in normal life people will regularly ask you "When were women allowed to divorce their husbands" in everyday life right?
They say the future is only as predictable as the past..... Probably because they're the same thing.

Y'all are aware that ain't how we talk round these parts, right? T'ain't but a shoddy mimicry of what it means to be a Brit, y'hear?

All's I really know 'bout women's rights is that it was never actually legal for a man to beat his wife with a stick no wider than his thumb (that's some bullshit story made up by feminists) and that Emily Davison fair ruined a horse race just to get herself noticed.

46%.

It's just general knowledge, nothing to do with anything really British. Although TBH I'm not against limiting the amount of people who can get citizenship.

Yea, you should make a law where cops can pull over anyone who doesn't look British.

That might be a bit difficult here, what with the whole multicultural society thing, whereas in Arizona it's just white folks or Mexicans.

I'm not against limiting the amount of people who can get citizenship.

I actually agree, but I still think this test is ridiculous. If you want to limit people getting citizenship, just tell them they can't come to this country unless they already have a job secured, and that you can only apply for citizenship after having been here for a number of years. That way we get doctors and whatever but not Grigór the Tesco night clerk.

I got 9 questions right when I did this test having been linked by another forum. That absurdly un-British test asserted that I was the least British person on that forum. :p

Yea, you should make a law where cops can pull over anyone who doesn't look British.

Um, coppers over here can pull over anyone. For anything. Stop and Account and Stop and Search powers. You don't have to actually be seen to commit a crime - you could just be judged to be acting suspiciously and we can detain for the purposes of a search. So basically, you don't even have to need to not look British. :p
