Map making is not that hard. Though I prefer the object placement stage more than terrain sculpting, it's a good way to express creativity.

I would like to know how to make an AI work in a new created map, with that, i might try to fix some downloaded maps. ;)
I think as long as i know how to make AI work, i don't have to make a lot landscape and just start fighting in a big empty space.

Here is the tutorial that I read before making my first map (specifically link to skirmish area part). It's on CnC-Den website and created by RVmech.

PS: I like detailed map not an emptied one.
