Looking around I saw there was no help thread so I thought I would start one off.

I have been having major performance issues when running .72. So I was wondering if there was any way that I can lock the screen to the view distance ranges of vanilla? I am running on a dated laptop but I can normally max the Zero Hour options out and I cant seem to get .72 to be playable at all. (I have turned everything off and dropped res all the way)

Try pasting this into your Data/ini folder. It may help. In it I've restored the default camera height and turned "DrawEntireTerrain" off.

If that doesn't help I'm not sure what to tell you.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Thank you for the fix, it works perfectly. Though oddly enough the camera height seems to be the same (No complaints there though) :)

I also confirm that this fix works.

My computer is well powerful enough to run on high. However, I also experienced slowdowns (to a crawl) on low graphic settings. I though I was not going to be able to enjoy this. Now the gamedata.ini has fixed the problem.

I do not know if the fix is graphic cards related but please include the fix in the next version.

Thank you,
Mon

I've put the fix into the .big file. i'm not sure why some systems have issues and not others. With draw entire terrain it may be connected to video memory.
