I've gotten a new laptop. Never do have to use that piece of crap I call a comp. Anyways, on to some of the details.

It was listed at $899, but after it was all said and done I got it some rebates, a mouse, a def leppard cd ( ) and warranty stuff it came out at little over $1000.
Only real downside is the battery life is a whole two hours. But that's definitely worth it

Thanks. We'll see before I put a ton of games on it though, apparently engineering programs take up tons of space, so I'm waiting 'til I get them in.

Looked it up, it's the modernized version of mine 
. Have fun, it's a pretty good computer - the only problems I've had come from a specific Nvidia issue in the 9xxx to 2xx series of cards, so yours shouldn't have any problems.

Well how about the speeds? CPU, RAM and HDD speeds are always relevant. The screen size and resolution would be nice too.
Also, does it have any spare HDD slots? That could prove useful to you.

I can almost do that, my graphics card is a 7300GT. Not very special. But, for bfme it does the trick. For the most part I play ultra. Only when there is particular demand do I drop it down.
