I enjoy Phoenix Rising 1.1 but I have found a few problems with it. Most of them which involving the space battles.

1. It takes forever to build/upgrade units and buildings, specifically, the ships bigger than the cruisers, the space stations, and battle platforms. Even speeding up the game doesn't help solve this problem.

2. In space skirmish mode, whenever I'm building something, the credits begin draining down quickly...for no reason at all. It's even worse when I'm upgrading the space station or battle platform, as not only it takes so long to upgrade them, but then it reduces my credits to zero.

3. In GC mode, I cannot play as the CSA for some reason, only Rebels or Imperials.

These are the problems I have encountered in the mod, besides lag(which I believe is just due to my computer). I hope you are able to fix this problem with the newer version.

Thank You.

There's a tag in GameConstants.xml that will artificially accelerate the game speed.

Line 44 reads <Production_Speed_Factor>0.5</Production_Speed_Factor>. You can decrease that to increase build times across the board. Not sure if that affects Skirmish or not.

If your spending is higher than your income, which will happen most of the time. Since you don't get absolute amounts at regular intervals (Rather, income is continuous, like expenses), you have to manage your money a bit better.

3. In GC mode, I cannot play as the CSA for some reason, only Rebels or Imperials.

The CSA is not available in Galactic Conquest.

They've announced that they're cutting many starting Pirate units, so that should help plenty with the lag in GC.

So, if I change 0.5 to 0.1 then the production/upgrade will be 5 times faster?

Yep.
Also V1.2 runs a LOT better than 1.1.
All the build times and many of the costs have changed. The planetary incomes are different. Mines are better.
The only thing I can't fix is an unlimited supply of credits. If you try and build on every planet you will drain credits at a frightening rate.
Try having a few key production worlds instead, and have the rest as income sources.

Enjoy.
