I've had a few people say "some of my friends don't have music" this implies that others do, but alot of people have said they don't have music.. does ANYONE have in-game music, or does No ONE.

If it's a hit/miss situation it may just be a system compatibility issue because the game was made for XP and has known compatibility problems with both Vista and Win7, but if NO ONE has music then it's possibly something in the mod.

It would be a great help if everyone posted what OS they are using, if they use compatibility mode on the mod, and if they have music. On that same note, if they have a shell map would be good to know too. I think that's related. On my system I only have a shell map if I play in compatibility mode.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Running it on windows 7 home ultimate, in win xp sp3 compat mode, i have music on the shellmap but not in game as well.

Btw having contra _007 _fix.big (while remix is installed) in the zh folder, and playing on general challenges, music does play in those matches.
Yes i know im not supposed to but it allows me to play the general challenges, which i like, with the remix generals, and i found this out purely by accident.

OK, it must be script controlled if it does play on certain maps. I know what to do, I'll fix it for the next release.

I'll have to check into the Contra fix, that's interesting.

Glad to be of some use.

The only changes to the game, while having the fix in the folder, is that it removes the skirmish option from the menu, and always access to the USA campaign (the contra version but of course it wont be there) and the generals ' challenges (only there aren't the maps for infantry and demolition generals obviously as you haven't been working on the challenges,) its does just what the contra team brought the fix out for.

So i hope that information yesterday helps you solve the issue.
