Well, just yesterday, I started up RC, and I got SUPER lag starting up and ingame. I have no Idea what the problem is, because it has been working fine before. I tried Fallout 3 today, and same thing.
Here are my specs:
Processor: Intel Core Duo
Memory: 4Gb
Graphics: Dual GeForce GTX 260M

Um did you check the task manager to see if anything that's not suppose to be running is running?

I had this problem in Fallout 3 once with my GT220, I ended up resetting all my forceware driver settings to default and that fixed it. Alternatively you can try re-installing them. Try XG tweaked drivers they're known to give performance boosts and good fixes.
They say the future is only as predictable as the past..... Probably because they're the same thing.

How would I do that? Btw, these were preinstalled.

Definitely sounds like a driver problem. Uninstall your drivers, restart your computer then reinstall your drivers.
It's probably easier to download your drivers before all this. Just download them from the nVidia website.
Uninstall your drivers just like any other program. Just go to your control panel > add/remove progams. The one you want is nVidia drivers.
Restart your machine then run your downloaded drivers .exe, then restart again.
Also, I'd suggest downloading nHancer once you get things working again.

Hostile is a cunt.
Thought I'd have that here to save time.
