The new heros ,like Nazguls and Prince Imrahil always get beat off their horse by trolls, or get knocked down when on foot, making them practically useless against such enemy? can any one give an explanaton?

All heroes get knocked back by trolls. This was done on purpose to give trolls an anti-hero role. I would suggest not solo-ing a troll with a hero, always have other units helping out. Or just keep your heroes away from trolls

What dalf said. When Boromir says "They have a cave troll" the fellowship really should be scared
