I say "I am English", because I am from England. What does someone from the US say?

I'm from Chrissendom, but I don't go around calling it the UC because its got multiple counties under the one government. If it doesn't have states, its got provinces, counties, or some other sub-divisional organisation. And if they're not united, they're usually considered another country altogether.
So really, calling it the US is an oxymoron, so when I say "I am English", because I am from England, I guess someone from "the US" could just say "I am a moron?"

Rule Eagleland! Eagleland rule the oil waves!
Americans shall not be, but shall certainly keep slaves!
When America first, at hell's command,
Rose up from out the murky seas,
'Twas such a foul, wasteful land,
With murky stench carried 'pon the breeze!

We can't be that big of a moron, we invented the "internets" Besides look at another naming anomaly:Well obviously, if he were from United States of Mexico he wouldn't be such a twat. People outside of America (yeah, I said it, now whatcha gonna do about it, punk?) tend to have better sense of geography and tend to know other countries, states, unions and places exist, and that theirs is not in any way definitive.

I wouldn't call us linguistically fake Germans, seeing as a large part of the Netherlands was once inhabited by the Germanic tribe.
