I read it on a norwegian site, with links to an english one. Hence I didn't bother finding the original source

Anyways, Gandalf are confirmed!

Latest news (taken from CoE homepage): Legolas' role will last "under 120 seconds", so it will be a cameo after all. Elijah Wood is thrilled to be returning to New Zealand, and hobbits cast as extras are not talking to the media. That's... it.

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

No news is good news, I guess?
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

I trust some of you already know about this?

Personally, I don't see the problem.. The hobbits keep to themselves, and I have a hard time imagening non-whites among them. There's a reason most africans are black, and most europeans are white, it's because the ones that aren't, are immigrants, either themselves or by heritage.

And I do not believe that there was many black hobbit immigrants in Middle-Earth :p
Also, it would be silly to have black hobbits, dwarves, elves or men in The Hobbit, when there are none in the LotR movies.. Because that encourages the audience to picture a holocaust event occuring between the timelines, in ALL of Middle-Earth..

Anyone else have another opinion?

Yeah, this is kinda crazy, as all of middle-earth is more or less supposed to be english folklore, with the shire being england itself.

Silly politically-correct folks. Nobody's going to hire me as the lead for a Stevie Wonder biopic. In this case skin colour is a notable aspect of suitability for a role, even if the studio didn't officially condone it, but I bet that's not true. I'd bet decent money that they at least strongly implied that the casting agent should find white midgets to be hobbits, but just let him take the fall. That's corporations for you.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Galadriel is in the movie?
Damn PJ and his Elf fetish,I hope he doesn't turn a book about a Hobbit and Dwarves into a movie about Elves.

The ages of the dwarves look very random some old guys some young.

They're adding a lot of White Council stuff, hence Saruman and presumably Radagast meets Gandalf whilst he's away. Frodo? Who knows - I didn't think he was born at the time of the Hobbit. The voice of Smaug isn't confirmed yet.

Don't know if it's confirmed, but from what I read, Frodo will be the narrator, reading from "There and Back Again" (with possible visual parts aswell, probably in the start and end of every movie, don't really know that)

He could be reading "There and Back Again" while in the new part of Rivendell (Possible but not likely.) Or he could be reading it to the local young Hobbits in the Shire as Bilbo did at his birthday.
