But the tent is way more unrealistic. How is a tent supposed to take a hit from a catapult?

Note to Nazgul - why did you have to push away TT. =O

I kinda agree.

These are some ideas:

  • WETA styled the Haradrim armour on the Aztecs (jewels) and the Kiribati (wiker armour)
  • EA gave the Haradrim very sophisticated tents, implying their are nomadic (makes sense), and used a similar theme as the armour
  • We should avoid making Middle-earth the real world. We can base ideas on stuff in the real world, but we should avoid making it obvious.

P.S. Does this help? TT's idea was cool because it had the shape of a yurt. =D I will be using parts from EA's tents however. But I loved the yurt shape TT used so much I had to base the basic shape of the entire fortress on it.

He doesn't want to build a muslim mosque for the Harad faction, he wants to build a fortress. In that fortress, he would like a temple design to be used, because he think it looks awesome. As far as I know, arab muslims built the first mosque, and thus some mosques are indeed a part of an "arabic" theme, when it comes to architecture.

"Evilmen" aren't a proper term for the men who fought for Sauron. It's your perception of them. Muslims aren't "evilmen" just because a couple of them are terrorists.

1) I did NOT push TT away. He got upset for reasons I never could understand, and he refused to calm down or accept apoligies. Matter is closed. Do not go there, please!

2) Let's not make this into a "racist" or religious debate. NOTHING good will come out of that, trust me. You don't like my ideas, then don't bother about the mod.

3) I willl explain the concept soon...

Okay, fantastic. =D

This is something that I would like as the Harad Fortress (lol, I recreated part of TT's model using sheer willpower - I haven't finished with it yet - but the main issue is what upgrades and expansions it will have). But if your are willing to take BfME's Haradrim away from the tents that is cool - this can still be used in the Harad map (Maybe even a Far Harad map.) =D

Wait... you made that?  :thumbsupcool: You said you knew nothing about modeling MTL?  :trickydick: Looks cool...

Now. I did'nt mean to sound harsch, if I did. It's just that I REALY don't like when debates go into religion, or politics. Those two are IMO the biggest reasons for people clashing IRL. I always try to avoid political or religious debates, for that reason. The model concept I posted is "mosque-ISH", not meant to portray a mosque, per se! Meaning, it has nothing to do with islam or moslems IRL. Like Lauri said, I just find the arabic style very fitting for Harad. That doesn't mean I want to remove the tent design (which is also arabic indeed). I'll explain more on this in a new topic, seeing this is still a somewhat infected topic.

And about TT... I miss that guy. He was a good friend and one of the absolute best structure modeler I have ever seen, right up there with Mathijs work in SaF for instance, and Edains great assets etc. TT got upset due to a missunderstanding (as I see it) and he left out of free will. I did not "fire" him in any way. SEE would be a lot better with him on board. But this is life. Sometimes even friends don't get along  :whathuh:
