Please describe your game. If you play 8p game, then it's no way to help you. Also, install the patch would help but too many players would eat your computer resources nevertheless.Hi Everyone I need serious help which is pissing me of its this

Sometimes. There is an old trick for being able to play the whole game: Save right before reaching rank 3 (or shortly after) The game will check on any out-dated effects and will restart the engine softly, so that there is more CPU available again. It works greatly for me. Plus, IF it crashes after this remedy, you can restart playing on the save game.But still you cannot end 8p game normally, right?
There is, however, 1 very irritating bug that mainly spawns in 8P battles: Units ignoring your commands. You command your unit to move, and it does move. For 0.1-3 secomds.

This is the great news, I hope this problem will be fixed in 008 version for the best game experience. This is the best strategy game ever! Do you know maybe when is releasing date of version 008 approximately?This is a known problem, and is (i think) caused by bad AI coding, which is being remade/fixed in 008.

Also, i have played with 7 other CPU players in 008 alpha on biggest map and had no crash. It seems much more... stable.

I'm the new one, sorry for the double question and thanx for the answer, keep the excellent work, but my suggestion is to add cash of 100 000 in new version, some deffense turrets on Nuke General and extend the rank,because with this one is an neverending storyUghhhhh.... this question asked SOOOOOO many times. The actual mod is nearly done, but the campaign, challenge mode, and some AI is still in progress. No definite date.
Also, i have played with 7 other CPU players in 008 alpha on biggest map and had no crash. It seems much more... stable.
Does someone know how we can change the rank manually?

- Nuke Defensive Turret is removed ever since 006 because Nuke Gen is extremely overpowered in previous version. Nuke Gen is designed to be offensive faction, so it is better to stick to that design and play offensively (and defense with units).
- Changing rank manually can be done by editing every single rank-locked units/structures (which surely took hours and should be done by experienced coder or the game might mess up). Currently, only Creator (code testing) version has no rank-lock.

To bad, because rank is not realistic and unlock a little General powers, does it be changed in the next version and does we can change it manually? It would be so useful. Thanx very much for your answer.- 100,000 starting cash is not added because it doesn't fit tactical gameplay Creator intended.

I know that sir, everything is great about the mod,but failure is too long and neverending fights. I know how to change the rank in normal Zero Hour, but do not in this mod, because that is zipped in BIG files. Can I somehow unzip BIG files?It cannot be changed without modding tools and skills. If you've never do anything with ZH code before, I wouldn't recommend doing it at all. Rank-teching system gives Contra more unique and strategic gameplay. It makes you think more to defeat your opponent. Next version is in adjustment phase for gameplay and code but campaigns and Gen challenges are WIP at the moment.
