Has anyone managed to make BFME models work in a different game/engine?
No big ideas just exploring...
I'm trying to figure out how I can insert gandalf into starcraft II.

My tools are:
3ds Max 8:
w3d importer/exporter

I got stuck on how I can import the animations(& texures) with the model so I don't need to animate every action.

BFME 1 animations can be imported into 3ds max... I put my "Ridder Geel" character into some games i am making for school to test. He uses some faramir animations, which i altered a bit. But yes that means its possible... You will however need to bind gandalf again.

I would imagine it's illegal to do so unless it has been altered enough to be indistinguishable from the original model. I would not recommend porting anims.

I used my guy just for testing (placeholder) ;)
I think he is making a personal mod, if not, he should indeed consider the legality of what he wants to do :p
