So how is 1.2 coming along? Any E.T.A?

I'm not PR, but I'm guessing there are two options for ETA:

1. When it's done.

2. SoonTM

That's about right.
The fun bit has been done, now it's down to highly frustrating "where's the bug that crashes the game when you do X" mode.

Test - try fix, no, reboot, reload, try new fix, interesting but no, reboot, reload - ad nauseam.

We'll let you know when we know!
Hang in there.....

Thank you Ghostrider. A well done, polished mod is always better than a rushed, sloppy mod/game. I thank you and PR for taking the lengthy amounts of time you put into this mod and community. I look forward to v1.2.

Yes, I think I learned the lesson after v1.1. As Ghost said, we haven't really added any new content since late summer; it's all been on this fix, plus whatever bug changes also happened to crop up through testing. Think of it as the last break we need before becoming a total conversion in earnest.

You aren't already a total conversion?

I guess I'm being technical. v1.1 had a good deal of legacy data from vanilla that we didn't use (all of the Underworld faction, for example). Most of it's now gone as part of this effort to fix the exceptions. PR v1.2 should run more smoothly as a bonus (in theory anyways; the actual benefit may be negligible). Basically, very little of EaW still remains.

So you basically stripped out all of the coding and such that didn't apply to PR. Sounds great.

If playtesters could be of any help, I volunteer!
It's time I do something a little more useful around here than the occasional nitpicky comment or speculative post. ^_^
Don't think, Fingan, you aren't properly equipped for it.

We're okay with testing for this release, but check back for v1.3.

So, for v1.2: is the AI fixed in galactic conquest? Will the AI now actually perform as it should, such as building space stations on planets; building and upgrading ships; attacking player controlled planets more often and more efficiently; and no more annoying infantry spamming, which they don't even use etc.

And is this just fixing up space comvat? Or will land combat be included also in the new form?

If I had to guess, I'd say it's still mainly a Space release. There might be a bit of Land tweaking, but nothing to intense. Much like the v1.2 release, I bet, but better this time, since Ghostrider's Land Assault Patch will be included at the very least.

PR has said previously that Land is secondary to Space, and won't be touched majorly until the Space conversion is completed.
