Are you serious? Those sub objects are cake. Chances are, each one is going to be linked to ONE bone. So you just select ALL the vertices and bind it. Move onto the next one. It's not that hard, deal with it.

Attaching them is a very bad idea. Because then you cant hide/unhide them. You will always see all of them all the time if you attach them.

He didn't mean that :)
He meant that most of those sub-objects use only one bone, instead of multiple.

Say all the weapons for example.. They all go to a B_SWORDBONE or something, so you select all the verticles at once and bind it all to that bone. On the main model however, some parts are bound to the B_HEAD, some to B_HANDR, B_FARML, B_PELVIS, ect... Basically, select the subobject, drag the box over all verts so you select them all, then bind them all to the right one :)
Of course, things like arm armour would possibly need two different bones, but you'll see that. But it's not harder than to select all the verts on the right and bind that to the B_FARMR, and likewise for the left, to B_FARML

No, just do it object by object, it is done in a matter of seconds, and no im not joking. Its EASY. select all, bind to bone, and done.
Then to make sure u dont select the same object again, just freeze it.
So the answer to your question is no.

Nobody is going to download models they don't know how look :)
You'll have to show them off before people would want to download them..
You're also still pretty fresh at this, so people might not even download it if they don't look to good

Showcases are nice, there are very few active ones left. Plus people get to see your progression as a modeller, from early models to more experienced ones. It's generally a good thing for all.

Press all buttons twice to figure out which one set's it back on. I get stuff like that all the time, when I acidentally hit buttons that are shortcuts for things I shouldn't hit :p

It's important to hit each button twice though, one for turning something off, and for turning it on again ;)
And I mean the stuff on your keyboard.. a, g, e, 2, j, ect..

You probably hit a button, accidentally, that triggered a shortcut for showing\hiding the red part when you select stuff.
I don't use any shortcuts either, but I accidentally hit buttons and things like this happens.. Then I just try out all buttons until I find out which one it was and turn the red part back on

Did you try ALL of them?

And you did select the model and went into the Select Face mode?
Because if you didn't, of course you wouldn't be able to see a difference :p
