(Links are down further...Including RenX Melkor model in attachment)

I stopped working on this Mod back in September but always wanted to enlist some help. The idea was
based on Sauron returning to Middle Earth. In a campaign where you could battle accross Middle Earth
and capture the rings of power. Once you have all the rings of power you could then build a beacon to
force open the Door of Night. Part two would have been the people of Middle Earth retreating to the
undying lands where Melkor would pursue them and so the ultimate battle for all of Middle Earth would
begin.

I got as far as adding the powers to the heros (and palantir movies) and creating a Morgoth and Door
of Night model, neither were completed. Melkor needs to bound to a skeleton and a skin created (Model and cocept art attached). The
door needs a Skin. Removed Goblins and Angmar and added some goblin units to Mordor. Shelob buildable
from the spiders lair. The Grond is back. And Mordor Battle towers are now garisonable. Mumakai Now
have a new charge sound from the movie. I'm hoping someone will express interest in adding their mods
(or part thereof) into this one to create a better one. Here is what I envisioned:

*A new cinematic starting film--flying over Middle Earth and then into space where dragons (from the
mod cover picture) on the Door of Night move and then the door will open with rays of light, clouds,
and the ship come out.
*Rohan needs to be added as a fully playable faction.
*RJ's camera system would be great, especially the one of mordor and Minas Tirith.
*Zoom out for all maps.
*A second row of turrets for Minas Tirith.
*Gates on all entrances to Erebor and make the guard towers garrisonable from inside the mines (could
never get that to work right).
*The Black Gate SHOULD OPEN AND CLOSE
*Adding the Mines of Moria to the Living World Map.
*Adding Edoras back as well.
*Fixing the wall section next to the Gate for Minas Morgul and adding Shelob's lair as a creep from
the stairs to Mordor.
*Overhauling of the AI, it should never back off production as the game progresses and it should make
full use of ships.
*Adding in Melkor and the rings.
*A corrupt mode for the ring, only heros should be able to pick it up and any good faction hero that picks it up should get a huge power boost and special power set, but takes poison damage. When they die they should become a wraith and bring the ring back to the enemy's fortress.
*Gollum should travel with Sam and Frodo, never alone.
*Making Isengard's Wizard tower stronger and adding lighting attacks with a higher zoom angle.
*And then of course the campaign and the Undlying lands--insane amount of work, I know

Could be awesome, I'm just saying maybe someone already has a piece of something on this list or
close to...

Well here is the evidence of what I've done with the help of everyone who contributed to the3rdage
and responded to my questions. Too many to list. I hope you enjoy and let me know if you are
interested.

Late last night I tried embedding all the videos and then posted only to find that the embeded videos didn't work. So this morning I went back and added in the links and now you should be able to view it...

This mod looks promising as you've done quite a bit of coding (from what I've seen) but maybe you could show some stuff that is based around the mod such as Melkor or the rings :)

Are you going to give him his own animations or are you going to use an existing one?

He'll have some of his own. He'll summon: Ancalagon, and Ungoliant, and he'll have many unique abilites/powers. If he ever gets bound to a skeleton...

Hey Fienx, I'm wondering what happened:unsure: you still working on this? If so will you be releasing this mod? It looks very fun and interesting and can't wait to play it.

I haven't done any more work on it beyond the powers that I posted. I suppose I can supply the INI file.

Never uploaded a mod... anyone have a quick and dirty way of taking the -mod extension and uploading it?

Needs balancing! upgrade levels etc...but if you're willing to try it maybe you might want to add something from my original list of ideas to it and upload an improved version?

What do you mean by "anyone have a quick and dirty way of taking the -mod extension and uploading it?"? Do you mean check to see if it works with -mod command or make it work with it?

Do you want someone to do the whole work for you?
Do you want someone to finish it and then you take credit?
Or do you want someone to make that their own mod? ^_^

If you can't be bothered to finish it then maybe you could post up some codes or even the ini so people could possibly see how you did it

I think he wants someone to make it possible to use the -mod way, with a .big, then upload it. Then he also wants anyone to try it to suggest balance issues, and anyone willing may add some of his other ideas and upload the improved version

Been out-of-town for a bit. Okay, actually I meant I need to know how to take my -mod folder and upload it. Especially since all of my -mod folders also contain all the original files, so the total folder is over 4gb and I need to lower that.

If anyone likes the mod ideas or the little work that was done, then please feel free to add to it and re-upload the mod. Take all the credit for your work of course, change the name if you want, or simply throw anything you like into your own mod. It's all fine with me. Perhaps the most challenging tasks for me were RenX and Worldbuilder, both of which I just couldn't seem to master. But I will upload the Melkor RenX model (in its unfinished state) for anyone who was looking for a Melkor model that looks good (at least the polys look good)-- he's got hands with fingers, arms, horns, a cape, and hammer (same pic from the original posts).

I'll try to add balancing and reload times in finalbig before I upload. Just need some advice on the best way to handle this upload with the oversized -mod folder?

What's the point in using the -mod method if you include all the original files? Why not simply make it install directly into everyone's main BFME2 folder, thus screwing up any mods they play?

Seriously, if your mod is currently 4 GB, take a close look at this ;)

Did you mod the game folder? Or did you just put all the games Default files inside the big along with your edits? If so what did you put inside the art and w3d stuff? Thats the only thing I can think of that could make it be so big.

Yup, I extracted everything to my -mod folder (audio, maps, music, video...). What's the best way to go about fixing this?

I had a poor understanding of the instructions when I first started.

I'm going through now and removing everything that wasn't something I added or modified. I thought about using the pre-converted INI package. I'll take another look. My concern was screwing up all the INI work I already did by going back now and doing it.
