Arabian houses- how to remove thous graphicks from game.

I make mod about Suez crisis for another game.
I very like arabian houses which are in RA2YR.
I have RA2YR, i have XCC Mixer too.
How to remove thous graphicks from game source and convert to .bmp files.
If I understande correctly game objekts graphics are included in .shp files, didnt it?
I dont understande where its .shp files, and how .shp files can convert to .png files.
I realy need help :good:.

Well, Why don't you just use the xcc mixer then?
it does all you want, be it turn shp into png/tga/jpeg/pcx once you picked the correct palette from the list and then if you insist on bmp, use photoshop/psp and so on tools to change into bmp from the format you picked with mixer.

Just browse the mix files until you find what you want but i sure hope the other game is also isometric or those buildings will look wrong there.

I convert xxx.mix to xxx.shp, but i see any pixels mix not a just image! I convert its wrong images to jpg/pcx/png ... and i see only black square. What i did wrong?

Just go View ---> Palet ---> Red Alert 2 ---> for palette list, with buildings unittem.pal is used generally.

Once the preview in right of xcc mixer screen showing shp is correct (meaning you picked correct palette), you can right click on the selected shp in the file list to decode it to chosen format.

MIX Files are archives, you enter them with xcc mixer by double clicking while SHP files are the sprites you want.

What game is that? makes me think of the german free game project...

I find a palette, but didnt find where houses graphics:)

I am seing diferent sprites, but not a needed houses:) Which .mix consist it?

Some info about our mod:on Russian, but with pictures, on German andon English It is a Sudden strike: Cold war conflicts inprovment.

ps: My first try to do it. Not with a sprites, but with print screen + fhotosop help. It is a perfeck! It is more butefull never houses from original game. I need this sprites very much!
