How much skill would it take to reskin/model heroes to look like this:

A moderate amount.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Thx, So, I take it that you'd need a lot of experience?

It's more of a time consuming process than a skill-related one, but yeah, you'd need a fair bit of modeling (not so much texturing) knowledge to pull it off.

To me, that's one of the few models that EA actually made really well (in the whole LOTR franchise)

After ROTK, TT, and TTA, everything went downhill, causing EA to lose their license for LOTR.

I'd argue it started going downhill with The Third Age as well.

Perhaps, but I had a load of fun playing TTA. Great, inventive fun. IMO

I did too, but especially later in the game it definitely started to go downhill.

I agree, TTA is amazing at the beginning until you get to Minas Tirith IMO
EA's LotR stuff really suck now. Take LotR Conquest. They have human mages shooting lightning and they have Gandalf making dragonball Z attacks :L

Edit: There ya go Lauri ;)

EA really suck now.

  • Mass Effect
  • Mass Effect 2
  • Dragon Age: Origins
  • Dragon Age 2
  • Fifa 11
  • Crysis
  • Crysis Warhead
  • Crysis 2
  • Battlefield BC2
  • Bulletstorm

Need I really ask you to rephrase your sentence?

Well, after careful consideration, I have decided that EA did kind of force Bioware to rush DAII. It just wasn't that good and seemed kind of unfinished.

I can partly agree, still, I love it overall.
The end seems rushed however, when you realize it ends the same no matter what you do.. (I've had two playthroughs, still kinda eager to go for a 3rd, being Mage.. yep, saved the best for last)

I'll be the first to jump on the EA hate bandwagon, but I find it annoying when people generalize the LotR games like that, because EA itself made some of the better ones.

  • Two Towers/Return of the King: EA Redwood
  • BFME1/2/RotWK : EA Los Angeles
  • The Third Age: EA Redwood
  • Conquest: Pandemic Studios
  • War in the North: Snowblind Studios

They just publish the rest. Heap your hate on EALA and Pandemic if you like, but Redwood has a decent track record imo.

TTA was fun and the graphics were pretty good (model detail was good) but some parts of it didn't make sense.
Ex: How did the people cross Khazad dum after Gandalf broke it?
How can three warriors take on Sauron on Barad-dur?
Other than that, good game.

How can three warriors take on Sauron on Barad-dur?

Because it's a game?

And I realize that Nert, some games are great, some are not.
