Hello everybody.
I install PR 1.1 mod and start GC campaign - Inner rim...
Difficulty - easy.
I play as Galactic Empire.

First, rebels (red) build nothing on galactic map.
Second, when i attack enemy in space battles - enemy units stay and do nothing.

I have SW EAW Gold on Steam.
I instal the mod (plus Ghost's Land Assault Patch and Slim Campaign Pack) to corruption\mods dirrectory and right click on game in steam client and in launch parameters of game enter swfoc MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_v1.1
All works except AI.
May be its because of difficulty? If i choose normal difficulty next time then AI will work?

My second question - how to build Death Star? ;).

PS: sorry for my bad english.

Sorry, but the AI never worked in V1.1 It got broken when we made the changes.

It took 6 months to fix the problem and it is now works just fine. It attacks, reinforces, builds and defends.
You will have to wait for the release of V1.2 to try it out!

You can't..... Yet.
Wait for V1.2 and play Operation Skyhook. The campaign has not been released yet though.....

I would suggest downloading the latest patch for Forces of Corruption. I had an identical problem until I patched FoC. If that doesn't fix it, try maybe patching Empire at War as well, although I don't know if that will work.

Patches won't fix the AI - we changed so much in 1.1 that the AI is not relevant to the mod. The old AI is the programmed to evaluate Ford Mustangs, but it's trying to find them on Coruscant...

It's been an issue since release that the AI wouldn't build anything on galactic, but I've never yet entered a scrap where the AI just sat there watching me move around (as far as I can remember, anyway).

The AI is going to be getting fixed though: http://forums.revora...therefore-i-am/

Steam versions of any game are patched automatically to latest versions :p.

The issue Ghostrider and DaveAshton mention is solely for Galactic. There was an issue somewhere that prevented the Galactic AI from building the Space Colony level 1, and therefore all other space structures. Land structures should be constructed as usual.

However, the AI in Space Tactical mode should work just fine. Mostly, issues with that are usually improper installs, installs directly into the game directory, or a lack of patches. Unfortunately, seeing as you've done the only known proper way of installing PR onto the Steam version and have the latest available FoC patch, those may not be your issues. I'd try re-installing PR to see if that fixes it and double check your MODPATH. If neither of those is the issue, I'm not sure what we can do for you. Many of us, that I know of, are working off of a retail copy of FoC.

The Steam release seems generally incompatible with mods, from all the issues I've seen so far. I still wonder if, eventually, PR might be able to get Valve to host the mod through Steam.

As I've said in previous posts on similar topics, you're probably better off just getting a No-CD retail exe of FoC. You would need to delete the applicable Gold Pack .ncf files so Steam doesn't know the game is installed, then copy over the cracked No CD exe along with any dlls it requires. That way you essentially have a retail copy of the game, but the CD key in your registry will be the legitimate Steam one. I've done things like this so I could play Civ IV against my brother.

Yes, it would be good.

I have bought earlier (as i remember, it was 2006) retail copy of EAW and EAW FOC, but both disks (EAW and FOC) was protected by f***ing buggy starforce DRM. Thus i decided to download crack and play with it until windows vista/7 comes out - on windows vista/7 the game with that crack crashes with exception every time. After that i bought DRM free copy on steam.

Glad to hear it's working for you. As others have already said though, it is not perfect. There are some serious issues with the AI in PR 1.1 mainly due to the fact that the AI would not evolve with the changes made to the game. Check out the latest news post about the mod and you will see exactly what I'm talking about.

This AI will be much improved with the release of 1.2. Just be a little patient and the experience should be much better.

If you have no sub-mods, most likely the AI won't construct Space Colonies. As a workaround, there's a fix for that here, where some additional scripting will gift the first level of Space Colony to the AI immediately upon a planet capture.

A couple other sub-mods I'd recommend are Ghosts's Land Assault Patch and the Unofficial PR v1.1 Bug Fixes. The Land Assault Patch includes a swath of changes to nearly every aspect of Land combat, making it more bearable overall, if still a bit grating. The Bug Fix pack fixes quite a few little issues that could affect your GC experience.

As an alternative to any and all of those, the Unofficial PR v1.1.2 sub-mod includes all three above mentions, as well as the addition of some other changes.

I'm hoping that v1.2 will actually work with Steam, although I don't have a digital copy myself.

As i have said, i have steam version - all perfectly works.
You need:
1) Copy PR to corruption/mods directory
2) Copy sub-mods in pr directory
3) Right click on game in steam client and edit launch parameters - swfoc MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_v1.1
4) Begin new game
Mod is working good, ai attacks in space battles and attacks and builds buildings and units in global conquest.

First time i have copied the mod to corruption/data and started gc, after that i reinstall the mod to mods directory, but i didn't make a fresh start and continue playing old save - thats why ai didn't work first time. After i have started new campaign the ai have started to function :xcahik_:.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english, because it's not my primary language.
