Just curious if there is an ETA for the 1,2 or a single combined patch?
Thanks

ETA = Estimated time of arrival. And no, there is not an ETA for 1.2, as far as I (a tester) am aware. Bear in mind that it is NOT a mere patch, but a reworking of large portions of the mod.

I am also a tester, and to follow the sound reasoning any good developer of intellectual property should follow, "It will be done when it is done."

Just wondering, how is the documentation on 1.2? For example, with the standardized planetary bonuses (which I love, by the way), will it be available what corporations produce what? I know, for example, that SoroSuub produces the Preybird, but don't know enough EU to think of anything else. Will all this info be provided in-game?

There will be a manual that should help with such things, which is another thing we are testing.

I can't wait. I understand having to though, you don't want to release unfinished, untested content. I will try to wait patiently.

I haven't been able to play other EaW or FoC mods, though, thanks to PR. Your realistic scaling etc, ruins everything else for me!

I know the exact feeling, KainRich. I don't like playing PR as it is because of the AI being almost dead in 1.1, but I can't play anything else because of how awesome space combat is in PR.

Well ... if you really cant wait ... but dont blame me afterwards that its hard to get back to EaW/PR ... but if you checking this site at least once a day and dont want to play anything else because "it sounds like 1.2 is nearly done" ... then try the Requiem-Mod for Sins of a Solar Empire.

Speaking of, thought about changing the engine in the future to get rid of the EaW-Limitations ?
Because while Phoenix Rising beats Requiem when it comes to gameplay, SoeSe itself brings a feeling of big big dead empty space, widdled with small pockets swarming of life, or orbital bombardment fleets ;)
And you wont take heavy losses in SoaSe because half of your capitals starts to circle away from the battle, something that was always my problem in EaW, anyway if vanilla, PR, ueaw, ...

Well, there are a number of limitations that modding simply can't fix, such as hard limits on the number of fire points per hardpoint. PR has made a lot of progress in working around other issues though.

Anyway, the EaW engine has one up on Sins in my opinion, because of the land aspect. In many ways Sins and EaW are identical except for that difference; except that Sins has space battles on the galactic map instead of as separate tactical battles. It's really down to personal preference as to which you like more.

The land battles are a good point, I never liked them (for the sheer fact that i have enough firepower in orbit to transform the whole planet into a dead burning neverland, so i see no reason to go down there) but if you love them then PR for Sins wouldnt be the best thing.

On the other hand, there are things like galactic conquest for more than two players and such that are simply not possible in EaW.
Whatever, maybe i just lake a look in PR's Ship&Weapon stats and start my private pr for requiem for sins mod, since no minecraft update is in sight also and i repleaced the last booster tracks with powered rails a month ago :D

You should check out Sins of a Galactic Empire instead since it has way more planet and ship types than Requiem. You'll need to sign up on the website for beta access though.

sins of a galactic empire is quite fun, but i miss the depth of PR, a port would be awesome indeed

We've got how many years into this on EaW? No, it's too late to change games.
