Today is June 6th, the sixty seventh anniversary of the allied landing in France & the ninth anniversary of this mod! As per usual I have a big news post for ya...

To start off with I'd like to point out that the current version of D-day has changed from version 3.5c too v3.6. I've made a lot of changes recently, including recoding D-day from NPatch to Ares & making use of many of it's new features. Most prominent being that all seven sides are now completely separate from each other, which fixes several things like survivors, paradrops & building order etc. As well as these fixes it now also allows me to make sidebars for each individual side!

Now some pics of a few new civilian buildings that you might recognize...

As you might have guessed these are for a Washington DC map I'm making for D-day, as well as these there will also be new bigger versions of the Lincoln memorial, Jefferson memorial & the Smithsonian.

Next up is, well a whole new side...!

The Italians are nearly finished with only a few planes & their navy left to make. They have several unique units which set them apart from the other sides, most notability are the defences which are mobile truck mounted guns which deploy to fire. They also use a deployable Breda 40 heavy truck as their resource gather, in a similar way to the slave miner. Lastly is the AS42 armoured car which uses several different weapon systems that change depending on the infantry driving it. I also have plans for Italian seaplanes, but I'm still testing the feasibility of such units. The Italian page has been updated with 40 new units & buildings so look there for more pics/info.

Looks fantastic, love the [first pic, whatever it is :p] and the White House - it's cool seeing it from a new angle, however the Washington Monument looks badly resized, the texture is a little blurry compared to the others. I'd try increase contrast for them all too, but that's just being picky. Nice work on Italy.

Holy smokes D-Day is still alive? It has been years since my last visit, but I'm glad Mig hasn't fallen to the fallacy of human laziness and tendency to leave projects unfinished.

Exceptional work.
