What the title says. I'm rather hesitant to join in public games since I hear most of the players aren't too new people friendly. So let's get some action with just us. PM me your steam account, or just post it if you feel comfortable.

I downloaded but I uninstalled it cause it pissed me off with its long loading times. I literally waited about 10mins for a map to load. I may redownload.

Do your computer/internet specs match up to the game?

Were you joining a low ping server?

Was it a custom map?

Was it your first time starting the game/loading a level?

The list goes on.
There are a few different reasons you could be having slow loading times. One you can definitely sort out now though is disabling custom content. If its downloading a bunch of crap from the server that can increase load times. Go into options and make sure it's set to not download custom files or sounds. Otherwise I find that servers like that fill your computer up with crap like quake sounds and annoying junk (mostly 500 duplicates of each cause a bunch of servers make you download the same crap but with a different filename) which you dont want nor need.

However, if its as I suspect and its your first time loading up, the game is probably configuring and initialising. It needs to do that when you try playing for the first time, so just let it run through. After its done that you should have normal load times from then on.

It was my first time though I did load into the game but then I got kicked cause i lost connection. So I went and played offline which it took forever to load again.

If you like FPS try Metro 2033, though make sure your comp is good enough. Really great game.
