whew, just about finished going through and creating the spreadsheet, just need to know where the compliments are and there are some ships which I dont know whose side (pirate/rebel/empire) they belong too but thats ok, just need compliments if possible.

The amount of work/detail the team put into creating this has been nothing short of amazing, my hats really off to you PR and team.

That's trickier. You'll have to extract the XMLs with a MEG utility and browse through them to read the complements.

well I can always use what was done in the past, although I dont think the compliments include any transports and im not sure where the xml's are or what a MEG utility is. Is it something easy like Mikes string editor? I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Yeah, Mike has one and there are a couple others. Those get you the XMLs. Think WinRAR - not an issue. Going through every file is a little tedious, but I guess not more than going through strings. I wouldn't recommend using any data from v1.1 on complements.

Holy crap PR, that is crazy. I found some XML utility or whatnot and sorting through all that is crazy. I need to find a better way to at least copy and paste out of the xml's or something as its so easy to get confused.

I was looking at a Vic SD mk 1 and there is a compliment for the CSA, Empire and Rebels, im bound to get something screwed up. Do you know if anyone has a list of all the complimnets with them when you were creating the mod?

Er - I compiled a spreadsheet of the entire space roster for development purposes. It took me 2 months to update to V1.2 settings, and I havn't gotten round to the Battleship class yet. Admittedly I can only do this out of work.
My recommendation: Open then individual XML's for Corvettes and larger and write them down.
I recon you could do the entire space roster in half a day.

Ive already put together all the ships in an spreadsheet t ocompare all the different upgrade units which is very helpful. The compliments though is something I might not be able to do as I was looking at the meg editor to look at the xml files and there is no way to copy and paste things which would make writing things down much faster/easier. I wish I had that kind of time at work or if there was an easier way to look at the data, right now im kiond of at a loss.

Do a multi-file search on <Starting_Spawned_Units_Tech with something like UltraEdit?

Hey, I've been following this mod for a while now and I appreciate all the work that the team has done! There's something that bugs me though and I'm not sure if it has been addressed before, the space stations are sometimes placed opposite of where they would work best or where I would like to place them. An example: A fleet invades and I have a Golan station but it's placed in the back way behind my space colony where it might not do much good for most of the battle. I have a space station level one and my research facility in the front with my forward defense line where they won't do much good and will most likely be destroyed. Is there anyway to automatically place stations according to their purpose in space or move or view them by the player?

This is not the right thread to post that in, and it's a bug we're aware of and have a few ideas to fix.

Phoenix Rising, head of mapping. Thanks to everyone who got us to the position below!

Ill give it a try.

Is there somewhere where it lists what ships belong to which side?

All Rebel units are prefixed R_. All Empire units are prefixed E_. All Corporate units are prefixed CSA_. All Pirates units are prefixed P_.
