Elves and Arnor and other factions added in other than Dwarves?

If not, the next update should be to add more factions, because the more factions, the better.

No. Not gonna happen. Your wrong. If you want a mod with lots of factions go play Lone Wolf.

The more factions, the more work, the more mess, the more balance hell, the longer it'll take.
Take the time TDH has been in production and multiply it by 2.75 for each new faction, and you'll get a rough estimate of how long it would take.

Honestly I don't know how long it took you guys to make this mod, nor do I care, all I asked was whether or not there are plans to add a couple factions in to make it more interesting.

And I tried playing Lone Wolf but so far I haven't been able to because of some stupid bug.

And plus you said this mod was a takeoff of the Rhovanion Alliance mod, and that mod's description said it would add more factions, so if this is supposed to be a rip off of that mod then why are you saying you won't add more? Were there changes in plans? If so I would take off the fact that you guys stated that this was a edit of the Rhovanion Alliance basically.

This was a resolution of the goals set forth by the RA mod, not an edit of it. The biggest reason that RA failed is because there was such a large work load on making all of those factions - and making them unique, balanced and fun to play as well.

To call TDH a rip off of RA is an insult, and nothing else. If I were you, I would learn something about modding before making wild claims and assumptions about things you know little, if anything of.

The whole reason that Rhovanion Alliance was disbanded was that there was so much work to do, with not enough people to do it.

You clearly have no clue how much work a mod is ;) I would just stop posting if I were you. You don't want the whole community to turn against you and lesson you of why you are so stupid to think such things.

Clearly your website states otherwise. It says the mod STARTED OUT and therefore was part of the RA.

TDH originally started out as the Rhovanion Alliance mod, started when BFME was released. That project was eventually cancelled in Spring 2008, and a new, more realistic vision was set to put the mod's assets to good use.

We obviously have different ideas of what the term "rip off" means. Yes, the mod started out as RA, but it is far from the same mod. As you can see in the text you quoted, the original version was canceled due to the same, obscenely huge workload that I related. The Dwarf Holds is the use of the faction that was closest to completion at the time of cancellation. The other factions were and are not close enough to completion to warrant inclusion in TDH and will not be finished.

RA was cancelled because it was to much work, so rather than not release anything and let all the work go to waste they decided to make TDH a smaller mod using the RA Dwarf faction since it was the most complete. So no its not a rip off, since its clearly made by the same people.

Dammit I was to slow.

RA had eight factions - four new factions plus the original four which were significantly changed to the extent that we were pretty much adding 8 new faction - and was a huge amount of work. But the goal was never to just add factions - it was to add some high-quality factions that explored new parts of Middle-earth.

TDH has five factions. The four existing ones have been significantly reworked and we have a new faction that has been incredibly thought through by Nertea. It's not just putting a faction together for the sake of it. And the goal, like with RA, was to make five high quality factions which explored new parts of Middle-earth primarily the Dwarven kingdoms but also areas like Dol Amroth, Khand and Dunland.

And part of every RA faction has made it into TDH. Elements of the mini-factions have been moved into the main factions whilst units from Dale, Mirkwood and Harad have also made it into the mod.

There won't be any full new factions, I will say that much. Everybody else has already presented the why.

That said, I always look for ways to include things that I have that aren't too much work. So some of said stuff might see the light of day.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

What faction contains Mirkwood? I haven't played it thoroughly enough to know yet.

because the more factions, the better.

See, right there you failed.

I will admit that I am wrong, but by bringing in like 2 or 3 more factions to BFME it makes it more diverse. Yes when you dedicate your mod to making 10 extra factions, it bugs (AKA Lone Wolf) or you avoid other portions of the game. With more factions it gives you more diversity and you can play the game longer without burning out on 4 factions, or in TDH mod's case, 5. That's one reason I think RJ or SEE or any major mod is great, because on top of upgrading, they do a great job expanding the game to new heights.

That's good to hear, if you guys don't want to add factions, then I believe that you should just expand the mini factions.
