As an Epsilon player I'd like to have a unit that can blow up bridges. Allies got Tanya and soviets Ivan but with Epsilon I always need lots of Lashers.

look man here is a tactic that I'm sure nobody knows and even wonder about it; produce 9 masterminds and at the time you approach your enemy's huge base/army, immediately iron curtain them and drive them inside the enemy occupation; well guess what you mind control 9x30 or maybe 9x40 and iron curtain prevent overload, means you create a great catastrophe and havoc inside your enemy's base. I pretty guess this is something coming from experience...

Epsilon doesn't have Iron Curtain.

Oh, AI.

Conquering AI and being experienced are NOT even related. In REAL games, you have no real chance to keep an opponent's CYard.

Well, now getting 9 Masterminds + Iron Curtain is a bit more rare, as you can no longer get Masterminds while being Soviet as far as I know, unless you got them in the Tech Secret Lab, as Masterminds are a specific PsiCorps unit (or at least they were a month ago).
That means it will only work if you get a Soviet Conyard while being PsiCorps, which happens a lot less often than "Get a Soviet Conyard while being any Epsilon side or the other way around".

Realistically... You'd be wasting your cash on just building up towards the Iron Curtain. Someone would have obliterated an enemy base by the time you get a Soviet MCV as PsiCorps...

True. Unless you decide to take the Conyard along with destroying the base, that is - but that only works during large games obviously.

Its impossible to defend 2 conyards at once if you are playing large games........... espicially with brutal enemies........... And if we destroy the enemies' refinery and war factory + barracks the sell thier base :(

Such a fascinating and unreal strategy. The point is, on the other hand, you surely does not recognize the aims and the potentials of units.

One unreal strategy will not make you victorious when you're at the battlefield. So you had a pointess example which just trashed you further in my eyes.

Now now Graion, easy on the guy. Also, the tactic is possible if you have an ally in multiplayer. It's just not as effective as several nukes. :p

Indeed, I agree with Zeno. There are many much more effective strategies.

And well, I usually send mind-controlled units to their death right away, either in the Grinder or against enemy forces.

look man, I have just mentioned about a superweapon tactic and I don't mind if you are playing online, again AI or anything else, That is, once I was playing a survival map where u have to resist against waves of enemy units in a 2 hours of time and see that mastermind+iron curtain strategy is a deadly one. If I had said produce 9 demo trucks and send them iron curtained to the enemy base, well everyone knows that. My only intention is to show that I was able to think about such a fascinating strategy, after all that time, after I have seen, after I have encountered many things in the game. Of course, playing against AI and online players are totally different things, but still I have surely been involved in many game types.

To be honest... I already saw this potential combo back in 2002... but let's face it even then it seemed like too much of a waste of resources. Teching up the soviet base and/or having rely on an ally at that specific moment is almost hard. And then there's thing about Mastermind's overloading which will eventually kill them and liberate the mind controled units.

Hey how about the "Genetic Horror" (a cut infantry from Generals) for the Headquarters (or Scorpion Cell) faction as an anti-infantry replacing the virus for that role.
Also in the case for the Virus will it be a stolen tech when a Rival Scorpion Cell infiltriates another Scorpion Cell Tech Lab.

Chrono Tank: European Alliance
This very powerful tank has the ability to chronoshift anywhere on the map, instantly. To use this ability, you must deploy it, then click anywhere on the battlefield. It takes a while to recharge though.

Lore time!:
The soviet forces, before storming the United States, placed nuclear silos in range of their NATO allies. This prevented Europe from helping the US, and it took a special mission from Tanya to take them out.

To prevent a tragedy like this from happening again, the European Alliance brought the Chrono Tank out of retirement. The chrono tank, more armored then the last version thanks to minituazation work by Germany's Scientists (Einstein Included), is armed with several batteries of Anti Armor rockets. These destroy tanks and structures in moments, allowing weaker tanks to take everything else out.

The tank still has weaknesses though. The rockets are too inaccurate for use against infantry, and certain light vehicles are resistant to the rockets. And anti-armor defences, while they can be destroyed easily by the rockets, generally kill two or three chrono tanks before dying. A lot of planning must be undertaken when using these, but it is worth it if used correctly.

Summary:
EU Chrono Tank
Weapon: Anti-Armor/Building Rockets
Special Ability: Chronoshift
Strong Against: Tanks, Armored Vehicles, Structures
Weak Against: Anti-Armor Defences, Light Vehicles, Infantry

Stolen Tech: EU + Headquarters
Chaos Tank

Want to create some chaos? Than this tank is right for you. When Yuri's Elite Division steals some European Technology, they get some chrono technology. Combining the Chaos Drone with the chrono tank has created an interesting combination, and an interesting unit. This unit can teleport anywhere, causing immediate chaos and destruction. A single unit can make an army useless.

The Chaos Tank has similar weaknesses to the chaos drone. While more armored then the drone, it is also slower than the drone. The chronoshift ability requires a cooldown. And air units are still not affected by the tank.
