how do i put new models into my mod ?

ive put the files in there proper folders , and then i pressed the asset cache builder exe and then i play the game they still show up invisible and thats kwens instructions

There is also the possibility that either a. the model is corrupted, or b. it is not referenced in the code properly. Both of those can also make the model invisible, even if the asset.dat is correct.

Make sure that you did not edit the filename for the w3d. And that after exporting the model shows up properly in the w3d viewer. Then check your code to make sure there are no typos.

not trying to be rude but he has been PMing me about this for 3 days ane if i dont answer right away he posts in the forum.. this is his 2nd topic on this and i have been explaining it to him over and over again later today i am gonna make a tutorial on this..... this post was made on my ipod...

ive just checked through it now , im pretty sure it has something to do with, how im doing the assetcachebuilder becuase i dont have a clue what im doing, all ive done is put the models in the right folders and ran the assetcachebuilder.exe yet the units still turn up invisible.


update - and dragons rider its becuase no one has explained what to do you can go through the other post it doesnt give instructions anywhere.

i know im just saying you should only make one topic and i will male the tutori and paste the link when done here. plus i gave u like 3 sets of instructions and links.. i told u how to set up your mod and said NOT to add new stuff from scratch yet.. i sAid edit the stuff in the folders....stupid ipod keyboard lol

Make sure you have the correct model names in the units ini ;)
