A bit of an update.
A step in the right direction I guess although they should bump the date up a bit July is still 6 months away.
A movement relies funny enough on momentum with the little press coverage it's gotten they can't afford to take too long.

But the cynic in me says that it will probably be rejected probably by the Supreme Court.

Depends on how badly they want to get re-elected. But yea... moaners loose and snipers win... the circle of life continues.

If they managed to gather up the names required, I wonder how the supreme court would be able to say no just like that. As the commenters in that article says, there are revolutionaries and reformers, and sometimes the reformers might have a better idea about how to move forward. Marathon vs sprint.

I saw this video from Dan Brown where he goes out and interviews members of the occupy movement.
This was a month ago.
They are doing well at reinforcing my opinion of the movement and the people in it.

A pretty good video. The interviewees are not silver tongued, but that might be more of a advantage than a disadvantage when they want to get people hear their words.

Too bad the people in charge won't be listening.

Loved this video for explaining the idiocy of a first-past-the-post system: works fine the first few elections, but then people start voting the guy they hate the least instead of the guy they like the most, leaving a two-party system.

A shame that the AV vote didn't go through in England, though I suspect with enough outside-the-system noise, you can force the politicians hand to do something about it.
