My bfme II mod is not running. I click it, I see the splash screen, it fades and then nothing.
I see the bfme programm window but the game won't play.
What could be causing this problem?
Thanks.

You are missing game2.dat, the "C:\Users\$USERNAME$\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files", or perhaps a registry file, check for the first two first. If i'm not mistaken your original BFME 2 game does not start up either.

No, the original bfme II is running normally just like the other mods I've downloaded.

game.dat? ._. or gamedata.ini? You can not directly edit the gamedata.ini, you need to place the gamedata part in the objects folder in order to allow the game to read it..
So perhaps something went wrong there...
