Does anyone remember that old cartoon back in 2001, Samurai Jack? I had forgotten about it for quite some time, but of the few episodes I've seen, it was probably my favorite cartoon / one of my top 5 favorite shows of all time. They got (I think) every episode on this site. Im'ah try to catch up to the 4 seasons. I highly recommend it.

If ya' don't know, its about a Samurai who lost his family and city to an ancient evil demon named Aku. This Samurai was a child at the time who traveled all around the world, being trained by cultures all around the world. When he became a man, he found his mother again and received his father's magic sword and went back to his city to kill Aku. But before he could make the final blow, Aku sent the Samurai into the distant future where Aku rules the world and space. So the show is about 'Jack', as a few natives call him, trying to find a way to defeat Aku in the bizarre and dark future. Its animation is fantastic with sort of an old styled calligraphy form and the story line is just addictive.

What was really cool Aku was played by Mako who played Iroh on Avatar.

Oh, was that guy on Avatar too? Yea, Mako is an amazing voice actor. I think the earliest things he did were all the way back in the 1950's.

I watched a few episodes back in the day. I liked the artistic style it had.

Oh yes... second generation pip animation with that awesome calligraphy style behind it. It is a bit slow, but every scene is like art.

it was pretty cool. One episode i remember particularly well is the one where he joins a bunch of mobsters and defeates some nature godesses to steal some crystal, which the mobsters were giving to aku(so jack uses it to have a shot at the demon).

Yea, that's the one I got buffering right now... episode 12. I love the old myth style situation redesigned into a 20th century mobster job... its what makes the show great.

Samurai Jack was really good, I can distinctively remember one episode about him fighting robots, but that was at least a couple years ago.

It was called Jack and the-ultra robots episode XVIII.

Dat' is de' truth.

So I just got done watching every episode. ... It just sort of ends. No final resolution. No major plot change. No step closer to going into the past and defeating Aku. They just canceled the show, or something. Not even coming out with a movie to resolve the story. That's just a really disappointing end. Not as disappointing as Stargate Universe, but it doesn't help.
