I have no idea where to place this question. I have tried searching but cant find what i am looking for. I have tried going through lots if ini files but i cant find what i need to change.
I love to play infantry and cavlary. I hate all those siege machines
Wondering if you know of something that already excist that takes the siege weapons out of the game? Sometimes i play skirmish agains 4 comptuer opponents and have morder isengard vs rohan and gondor.. When i return to comptuer after work they usually have lots of siege wepons attacking my camp (yes i cheat when i do that)
If there is something that disables siege weapons and ents and trolls maby even the doors of rohan/gondor castles it would be great for me since that is the playstyle i want

You could make a map where you only make a battle between infantry and cavalry, something I did long ago

Or go into the commandset.ini and remove all the siege stuff

Removing the commandbuttons in commandset.ini will only make the siege stuff unavailiable to you, the player(s).
The AI is scripted to make the siege stuff, they don't give a frak about commandbuttons.
So you'll have to edit the AI, which is a little more complicated than I've got time to explain

I THINK this will work ...but you have to set-up the-mod command properly
In your mod files look for skirmishaidata.ini in data/ini/default
REMOVE the entire code block I posted and that SHOULD make the AI not built that unit
look for the other Siege units for the other factions
removing the commnandbutton from the commandset to build them will remove them for HUMAN
I have not tested this but I'm 99.99% sure of it

ArmyMemberDefinition DwarvenCatapult_Member Unit = DwarvenCatapult ;seige weapon PercentageOfArmyPhase1 = 0.0 PercentageOfArmyPhase2 = 0.0 PercentageOfArmyPhase3 = 15.0 End

I don't think so, even the AI needs the commandset. It's the commandset that says where you can build specific units, remove the button to recruit the rangers from archery range and you won't see them any more. There are several ways to remove the siege machines, the best is to remove the siege works from the porter's commandset - no siege works, no siege machines. I did that a long time ago for my wotr mod (as I wanted the siege machines to be built only on the living world map) and it worked and it still works
Or you may make the buildtimes for the siege machines very long, and you'll see just a few of them during your battles.
Jus_Sauron's solution will work also of course.
