well, the program itself isnt illegal, but the transfer of most of the files is illegal. As a sidenote: I dont think it has spyware.

Don't act like saints when you know you have personally download pirated software. Kazaa Lite ++ actually changes IP numbers so you can't be tracked.

In the netherlands kazaa 9and thus the rest) where found legal and we can download what we wnt. I have limewre but i often use K++ and shareaza.

As said it's legal to have the software (there's no law against P2P file sharing, or software to allow such sharing). It's ILlegal to download Mp3s and Warez from them. Same as it is from anywhere else.
The exception to the Mp3 law is if the owner of the Mp3 allowed it to be put up for free. Which in the case of the major bands and stuff, is not likely, as it loses them and the record labels money. "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"
It's not the feds that keep me off Kazaa and similar programs, though. It's the fuckin viruses that litter them. Last time I Kazaa'd (and bear in mind this was a LONG while ago), my puter got about 10 rather nasty worms and trojans and was trashed. Taught me never to go p2p again...
What I do is get some other schmuck like Des0 or Natus to get them and then transfer the files to me.
