Help needed adding custom heroes to build list (For BFME 2 )

Hi, My name is Neo. I just registered because I need advice on a problem of mine.
I accept the fact that the game is old and I'm a beginner on modding,so please forgive me :(
I liked BFME 1 better then 2 so I never played it,Just recently I gave it another chance,and I'm liking it.
I know to mod basic things ( I did UT2004 Custom Mods for myself).

My problem:
I have created custom heroes in BFME 2, but now I'm trying to add them all in the game.
I tried using Playertemplate.ini ( I already added Gimli and Legolas to Men :p ) but I'm trying to add the 4 custom heroes I created too.
Can someone please give me some insight on this?

There is a tutorial on converting CAH heroes into non CAH hero's on the3rdage.net ;) Take a look at it i'd say :D

Thank You,I don't know how I missed that tutorial, Google didn't show it in the result, I kept finding this one:

But where are the files for the other heroes? Where can I find it in INI.big
I tried searching in the create a hero files but no luck :(

You mean the files for The create a hero's itself? you can't directly create a CAH in the creator and then convert it... you an make it a default one. (one that can't be deleted) but other than that... The files that are kept do not hold the same format as regualr hero's and can't even be edited.

So... if that isn't what you mean... fail on my part.... xD

No I don't mean that,I meant where are the animations and other information of the other heroes so I can create a new hero like Ridder Geel suggested

oh, there are two bunches of create a hero files.

Data/ini/...

or

Data/ini/object/createahero/...

take a look at i think it is called "createaheroanims.inc" :) it's in one of those two sections.

Ok........ I was completely lost during the middle of it,I created everything,I changed some powers and so also the other options relying on the power but I'm confused now.
Where Do I put these files,Should I create a new BIG file?

It didn't work :(
BFME2 kept crashing because of an error in weapon.ini

Any thoughts please? :(


EDIT:even if I delete the weapon.ini file,the game finds error in other files too,do you have a tutorial that shows every step in detail please?

Did you remove the gamedata.ini from your mod's .BIG file?

No,I first created the BIG file with all the files,then the error came,so I removed the source of the error(weapon.ini) but then it kept finding errors in the other files too

The MACRO is totally wrong ..

For now just use an already existing weapon eg FaramirBow or FaramirSword
i.e DELETE your weapon in weapon.ini

Once the hero is functional you can go re-making a weapon code

PS MACROS must be ALL_CAPITAL not all_CAPITAL .. or just use a number

Okay never mind this,I have figured a way,
I added the powers of the other heroes to 1 hero(hero of the west)
Now I'll choose which powers I want,I just need only 1 thing now.

I put the "toggle weapon" power on "hero of the west". I just need to figure out the animation needed for this, The animation would be sword>>>bow ( sword to bow)
But I can't figure out where to edit this,

Any help please?

Okay I used the Elven Archer (I don't need the animation anymore,since the archer already has it)
So now everything is done :)
There is just 1 little thing but that's no big problem

But I can't ,the button doesn't do anything(You can click on it but it doesn't do anything)
