Sup,
I was wondering if they're any coders flying around that could maybe help me in my mod
Because I will be skinning, modelling and mapping so as you know, that could be a lot of work for me :smile2ap:
My last coder seems to have ran away from me and the forums :ermm:
If you need evidence that I won't be lazy, it's here:
My sexy showcase
And the mod that I'm making is here:
My sexy mod
Well that's it.
Cheers I guess ;)

im flying around. I guess i could help, a BIT, since my main work is on the Quenta Silmarillion. But i can do minor stuff. Gimme a yell for a special power, a commandbutton, or a spell. (one at a time!)

"a special power, a commandbutton, or a spell. (one at a time!)" isn't much for helping to be honest ;)
On the other hand, if you offered to code an entire hero for example, or a building, that's something!

Not judging your kindness, just bear in mind that what you offered isn't acctually much help :p

A commandbutton, a special power or a spell I could do a 5 minutes.
I'm talking about LUA, FX, new stuff.
Expert leveled people ;)
But thank you for your help, but you are still in your very early stagges of coding :wink_new:

Your chances of getting an expert level coder aren't very good.
There's only a couple in this community and they are already busy.
You're better off with an intermediate or learning coder and giving them a chance to learn and improve.

Okay, I'll make a list of what I need from the coder:
I need them to be positive that they won't run away from me in 1 week.
They need to be able to make new unit.ini's, new hordes and obviously the commandbuttons and commandsets.
They need to be able to make new structur.ini's and anything that goes with it.
And if you look at the tech-tree, they need to be able to do the spellbook stuff and the hero abilities.
They must look at the tech-tree or the readme I give them before asking me: "What do I do now"

I don't mind helping them along the way but I don't want the whole mod to lag because they keep asking what to do and how to do it :p
When I joined SaF, I went from Intermediate to Expert(ish) and that was from figuring things out myself :crazed:
I learned the probability LUA in one day.
So overall, all I ask for is commitment ;)

Those are all beginner things and I doubt your spells are too ambitious.

Like i just said, I don't care how good you think you are, just make sure you can do those things ;)

Obviously the starting stuff in a mod is easy, but it has to progress over time :p
