Barrow Downs
The Barrow Downs lie close to the Bree land and are a source of dread where none tread.
The Barrow Downs are ancient graves of the Kings of Arnor that were once part of the land of Cardolan one of the successor realms of Arnor.
During the war with Angmar and Rhudaur the Witch King sent spirits to dwell in the Barrows awaking them to his purpose.
The land becoming a place of death and sorrow.
The Wight's still slept until the Witch King returned and awoke the Barrow Wights to watch the pass.
The 4 Hobbits encountered these Wights on their way through and it nearly cost them the quest if it weren't for Tom Bombadil.
The Barrow Downs are often covered in a thick and eerie fog and the land seems to always be dark.
Trees don't often grow here despite bordering the Old Forest.
Scattered around the map are the Barrows the lying place of the Ancient Kings of Arnor.
This map is a 2 player Camp map and the Barrows form the battle ground.
The land is dark and foggy with hills some of which stand above the fog.
This map was made by Fredius and it's his first official map update.
He's done a great job of capturing the look and feel of this dark and dreadful place.
