Dew to the long time the AI is taking to finish  I will be able to get the basics of the DTX done for the release of v3.3.

I am going to do an intensive week working on just the DTX & will be posting some pics as I go. I'm also going to be working on a new map of Paris that you will be able to see pics of on the 31st when D-day is featured as the mod of the week

Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence. :|

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Well if André gets the AI done I'm aiming for a June 6th release, which is also the 2nd anniversary of the mod & the 60th anniversary of the D-day landings

heh I'm already using them

The problem is that RA2 uses wav format, which is uncompressed & can be huge. The only way to make them smaller is to lower the quality drastically, which I'm against but will probably have to do unless you 56ker's dont mind spending hours d/l them :|

If you mean by winzip or an installer, then I'm gona do that any way but it wont cut much off. If you mean compress them to mp3 then you uncompress them to wav! Once you d/l them, that's not gona work as every one would have to know how to do that & have the right prog for it :|

there are better ways to compress than zip or mp3 ... actual music compression programs...

course, i dont know of any good free ones, and its just one more inconvenience for the d/ler.

I know there are better ways but it's pointless as you would have to convert them back to wav format for them to work in RA2! & I'm not gona force ppl to do that
