Keep up your work good . You must be patient for all the scripting , path fidding and so ^^ . I appreciate your work :)

Luckily I can copy and edit the campaign scripts in order to work on a smaller scale and it makes what I have to do far easier and I can get it done quicker, thank you and I'll certainly keep going with it.

Okay so I've completely mapped both Rohan and Helms deep, I did this before Fangorn seeing as I had to make sure I had enough room so it was adequately sized. I've also found a topic with a few scripts in which supposedly make changing the lighting in game possible, it'll take a few tests to get it to look the way I want it but it will make areas of the map such as Helms deep look allot better.

If you find out how to change lightning ingame, could you post the script here? I know it would be very usefull for my own maps, thx :)

The scripts for changing lighting are under Scene>Light>Dim all global and ambient lights.
It only allows you to dim RGB values though, so it doesn't quite give you the same control as the global light settings. It's worth playing with though - i once tried to get Helm's Deep to gradually fade from afternoon to night to morning (before i got bored and gave up :p)

Scratch that, I'm afraid changing the RGB to make the map look darker works but the colour of the objects on the map don't dim so they look really bright and end up making things look very peculiar.

14 March "Rohan" and "Fangorn"

Well since my last update I've been working on really hard on Rohan and Fangorn and I think I've done it justice.

Rohan, Clearing the Camp

After Frodo and Sam have been escorted to the boat the screen fades then un-fades to reveal Merry and Pippin captured by Uruks and Orcs.

Posted Image

Eomer and his company prepare to ride in to destroy the camp

The Hobbits spot a chance to make a dash for the woods

Posted Image

The camp has been cleared.

Posted Image

The Three Hunters

After the camp is clear the camera fades and un-fades to show "The Three Hunters" entering the land.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

A pile of dead orcs and Uruk Hai are a grim sight for The three companions.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Though there are tracks leading of into the dark, damp forest of Fangorn.

Fangorn

Some Orcs and Uruk hai have taken refuge from the Rohan horseman in the forest and are lying in wait for any passers by.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Though they'll have a tough time taking out these three

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

After fighting of the ambushers they continue on further into the forest only to be ambushed yet again.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Uruk crossbowman and Orc archers are certainly an inconvenience for those without a bow.

Posted Image

After they have been destroyed a cinematic shows the three companions move to a clear spot of the woods and an ominous presence puts the three on edge.

Posted Image

Now I would have put up a picture of gandalf appearing but I forgot to set him as gandalf the white so he was grey and I didn't want to change the scripts then restart the level just to get a shot of that.

P.S "Reckon I overdid the amount of Screenshots" :smile2ap:

Gandalf the White is all fine and well, but what about Aragorn in his proper gear? :p

Yes sadly in the current version of TEA:CE Aragorn doesn't have a ranger outfit. :D

Well slowly but surely Helms Deep is coming along and if I can keep myself from going scripting mad I should have it done within a week, doing this bit has made me have all the more respect for the original scripters of Helms Deep.

Well it's only a tough nut to crack due to the fact I have to edit most of the scripts to work on a small scale and that there are so many waypoint paths because of all the Uruks have to go in straight lines, in formation and stop at certain point for things like regrouping and taunting. Actually Minas tirith appears to be easier to script as it's less organised attacks, it's mostly orc's running around and getting obliterated.

P.S I'll have a before and after shot of the Rohan/Fangorn segment and Helms Deep to put up at the end of the day.
