Since 1.2 will likely be released soon I believe it is more appropriate to post questions, comments or random thoughts in this part of the forums than in the NEWS thread.

Nice to see people getting excited. With good reason, too. I've had my hands on the release candidates for a while to test them, and (at the risk of sounding like Gabe Newell) after three years in development, I think it's been worth the wait.

Since PR and Team are fans and gamers just like the rest of us, I'd bet they'll do their best for a Friday release. But, since there are a number of cosmological constants, Murphy's Law comes to mind, that are stacked against this mod's release from day one; I'd bet on an early to late Saturday morning release.

On an unrelated note, my video card has decided to die on me. Again. I have never lost another piece of equipment, but I'm losing video cards almost as fast as the warranties expire. Third one so far. (Yet my ancient 5700LE keeps trucking on in my parent's computer...)

It's a conspiracy to keep me from playing PR, of course.

Get an EVGA with the lifetime warranty now, with the release of the GTX680 the prices for the 560/570/580 have fallen considerably, and they are by no means slouches.

this one is very good for the price with the 2.5 GB of VRAM

Get an EVGA with the lifetime warranty now, with the release of the GTX680 the prices for the 560/570/580 have fallen considerably, and they are by no means slouches.

this one is very good for the price with the 2.5 GB of VRAM

The last two cards to die on me have been EVGA, andthe most recent started failing inside of three months. (Though given the odd way it started failing and a whole slew of problems I'd had earlier, it took me a long time to identify it.) Still, I've got about nil budget, so the best I can really hope for is that they'll replace the budget 450 I had to get when the last one failed...

Those are a pain to replace. Hope you didn't get an XPS from Dell.

Desktops are great, but laptops make a great backup and travel system. And, well, $400 off an already nicely priced system is quite tempting even if it is pre-built.

First was second-hand (But never used), so no waranty for that one. Second, still waiting on their reply next week. Only finally verified the problem yesterday. And it died slowly and painfully.

There aren't many beyond those, really. Most mods not on those either have threads on official forums or dedicated websites.
