Hi,

I've been playing v1.0 and v1.1 since they came out, and they've always worked fine. However, when I try to play v1.2, I get a message saying "An exception has occured. See _logfile.txt and _except.txt for details" at the menu loading screen. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium with a clean install of FOC (with other mods, but with no overrides of the orginal files.) Any ideas?

Thanks,

Capshades

Have you checked EaW for file override?

To my knowledge, there are no overriding files in EAW because I've been dealing mostly with FOC. I haven't dealt with EAW mods in a while. All I have there is the stargate mod. I might have installed the "official" RAM fix, but would that be affecting this?

Also, was the installer supposed to only install Art, Audio, and Text files in \mods\Phoenix_Rising_v1.2\Data? All the other mods I have, including PR 1.1 have at least XML and Script folders...I know I have a full download because I checked the data size on Moddb with what I downloaded. I'll try downloading it again, but I don't think it will work...

Yes, absolutely. LucasArts messed up the RAM install, and it's only showing up now because our XMLs are in Config.meg (a necessary condition for AI and optimization).

Ahhh, clever. When I'm not overworked with college papers, I'll reinstall it and try it again. Thanks for the help.
