Help! I just downloaded PR v1.2 and the lag is as bad as it was on v1.1, the game is completely unplayable. It must be something to do with how it's installed on my pc because obviously not everybody has this problem. Weird thing is, my pc is pretty decent. Does anybody have any idea on how to fix this, I really want to play PR v1.2!

specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 ghz
6 gb ram
nvidia gtx 460

Odd, your system is clearly good enough. Make sure you're not running the game in Windows XP Compatibility Mode, because that reduces performance. Where exactly are you experiencing low framerates?

Space battles (haven't tried land yet) are completely fine, the galaxy map is the problem. Also, it takes a very long time to actually load the space battles.

Right, that's usually where it happens. I think the problem with your setup is that while you have a good processor, it has relatively low per-core speed. FoC only runs on one core so it relies heavily on the clock speed. I run the mod on a 3.4GHz quad core and I can play all the GCs without it being unplayable. Is Core Worlds unplayable for you?

Quite unplayable yes, is there any way to force FoC to run on more than one core?

As far as I know there is not. I'm sorry that I can't provide any better solutions for you.
